Argentina in Concert, music as a bridge: Argentines Juan Esteban Cuacci, composer, arranger and pianist, and singer Belén Mackinlay propose a cultural fact that draws a diagonal between popular music and academic music. Deploying the Argentine identity to the world through its regional music, tango and folklore.

Juan Esteban Quacci

Juan Esteban Cuacci was born in 1973, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a musician, self-taught, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He was named Outstanding Personality of the Culture of the City of Buenos Aires by the Buenos Aires Legislature. For more than ten years he was Susana Rinaldi's pianist.


Outside of tango and related to other music, he worked with artists such as Estrella Morente, Paloma San Basilio, Elena Roger, Olga Gillot, Sara Montiel, Liza Minelli, etc.


For six years he was the pianist and musical director of the Spanish artist Raphael.


Of his various personal projects, he has sixteen recordings, of which the following stand out: "Acá Lejos" (2022), "Pianoligias del Sur" (2019), piano duos, "Tango Vivo" (2016) and "Sin Red" (2014). ) with Pablo Agri.


Currently, he is constantly expanding Argentine music throughout the world and renewing his repertoire. He forms a piano duo with Horacio Lavandera with whom they play music by Cuacci. He writes popular music arrangements for different formations and artists such as Giora Feidman or Avi Avital, gives Tango workshops in different parts of the world and shares various projects with artists such as Silvina Alvarez, Olvido Lanza and Pablo Agri.

Belén Mackinlay Argentine singer. Choose the risk and the power of the fusion between the traditional rhythms of folkloric roots, jazz and classical music. The artist has three albums to her credit: Trébol blanco (nominated for the 2013 Gardel Awards for best new album by a folklore artist) and Huella (published by Acqua Records) and Encuentro Sur (published by Club del Disco). All of them earned him profuse praise from critics and the public.


He has performed in such prestigious venues as La Casa Argentina in Paris, Argentine Embassies in Washington and London, the Argentine Consulate in New York, the Golden Hall of the Cervantes National Theater, the Cosquín Festival (the most important Folklore Festival in Argentina ), The Old Town School of folk Music in Chicago, among others. It was selected on different occasions by contest to be part of the Notable Bars Cycle (CABA).


His extensive background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and vast experience in musical comedy; participated in the acclaimed shows Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast, among others.Juan


For her work in the dissemination of local folklore, in 2015 she was named Itinerant Cultural Ambassador by the Municipality of Ayacucho, her city of origin.


He has made three international tours appearing in cities like New York, Washington, Chicago, Paris, London, Barcelona, Malmo, Copenhagen and Luxembourg. He is currently presenting his latest album, Encuentro Sur and recording new material.
